Our Bioinformatics group is a multi-disciplinary team of computational biologists, software developers and data scientists with experiences in a wide variety of areas including evolutionary biology, genomics, metagenomics, statistics and structural biology.
The in-house facility harboring a high-performance computing (HPC) system carries out genome data analysis, including variant calling, de novo assembly, functional annotation, genotyping, RNA-Seq and molecular modelling. Our research spans across a number of applications, from developing analytical tools and resources for microbial evolutionary and systems biology, toward a better understanding of community function, competition/co-operation, pathogenesis and antibiotic resistance.
